We drive 74 km (1.5 hour) from
Hanoi to
Hoa Binh town (The nearest place from Hanoi can be met hill tribe people) passing through parts of the scenic North-West mountainous region of Vietnam. Upon arrival, we board our private boat and cruise on the Da River. We visit villages of the Muong and the Dzao ethnic minorities on the river bank. After the cruise, we drive back to Hoa Binh town for lunch before driving back to Hanoi. On the way back, we'll visit the famous silk village of VanPhuc, which has been well-known for its Lua Van or silk weaving craft. Van means cloud. Silk of
Van Phuc is of high artistic value.
