Thanks for your note. Emine & I enjoyed ourselves and Lam was a great guide. In retrospect, we believe we probably attempted to cover too many things. If we could do it over again, we would probably skip DaLat and Hue and spend the time cycling any dirt or low traffic roads in the Mekong area. This is not a complaint but just an observation/recommendation to others.
Thanks for organizing everything. We have fond memories of Vietnam.

We're back in California after a very long flight from Ho Chi Minh City to San Francisco.  My family and I truly enjoyed our tour through Vietnam!  All of the cities we visited were interesting and unique in its own way.  We learned a lot about the history, life, and culture of Vietnam from the very knowledgeable tour guides.  All 3 guides were very passionate about the cities they guided us through, with experience ranging from 6 months to many years of experience.  For the most part, we enjoyed the meals that were included.  In Hanoi, we were surprised that many dishes were fried.  The seafood on the junk in Halong Bay was quite impressive and delicious.  The royal dinner in Hue was fine.  Wearing the traditional dress didn't go over very well with everyone since it was hot and uncomfortable.  Regardless, it added to the atmosphere of the evening and made for nice pictures.  It was a nice change of pace going to Hue and Hoi An, away from the hustle and bustle and traffic.  We enjoyed walking the streets in ancient Hoi An, shopping along the way and buying the wares of the area.  The traffic in Ho Chi Minh City was unbelievable, so many motor bikes.  Everything worked out fine, however the Duxton Hotel in Ho Chi Minh City did not have 3 non smoking rooms for us, just 1.  The other 2 rooms were refreshed only, whidh ended up being fine.  We could not smell the smoke.  The accommodations, spa, and food made up for the rooms.  The van in Ho Chi Minh City could have been a little more comfortable and we could have used a rest stop on the way to the Cao Dai Temple.
 
It was a pleasure to meet you after many email messages and Skype chats.  As I sit here writing this message, I am watching the Miss Universe show being televised from Vietnam and my husband reviewing the pictures we took while on travel.  Thank you again for arranging our tour and helping to make our visit to Vietnam memorable.

Green Trail Tours ensured that we didn’t have to worry about flights, picks-ups, hotel accommodation, not even the meals! Everything ran smoothly and all three drivers and tour guides were friendly, informative, reliable, thoughtful and most of all we enjoyed their company and knowledge.
Nothing seemed too much trouble for our guides who were always eager to please. A real added bonus, which is hard to appreciate until you are travelling in Vietnam, our guides regularly had a cold bottled water drink for us all, it always seemed to be when you needed it most! The driver was thoughtful of restroom stops on longer trips, and didn’t mind stopping for photo opportunities, especially as two of us four are keen photographers.
Your flexibility on the tour was terrific, especially as you organised an overnight stay on “Emotion Boat” on Halong Bay, as this was truly everyone’s highlight of the holiday.
I would have no hesitation in recommending our family and friends use your service and we hope they do, we wish everyone can have the Vietnam experience we did.

We are home. Back to snow and -5C temperatures. We are still recovering from our jet-lag also.
We had a wonderful time in Vietnam. We love the country, the people, the culture. The itinerary was fantastic, and Ahn and David were fantastic. They were great at striking a balance between the scheduled activities/sites and what Christina and my desire to dive a little deeper into the land and culture. They and the drivers really went above and beyond. Once we came to grips with the Novotel's policy, and got ourselves up to White Sands, we felt much better about our tropical "down time". A high-rise hotel with a busy street separating us from the beach just wasn't what we had envisioned, and we should have spent some more time reviewing the itinerary with Marty before the trip. But once we saw the Douce Mekong, any lingering negativity about the Novotel quickly disappeared. WOW! What a fantastic boat, crew, experience. Thank you and Marty and David and the Le Cochinchine staff for this once in a lifetime experience.
Over all we couldn't be more pleased with our adventure, and will certainly spread the word about Indochina Explorer Tours and the magic of Vietnam to our friends and family.

been back in Singapore a week now... we have all downloaded our photos and talked about the trip. 3 of us did the Inca Trail up to Machu Picchu in Peru a year ago and we think this was a better trip all considered.
The boat trip was amazing, way more than i was expecting in terms of service. maybe a bit of guilt leaving the wives at home.  Bing was a good guide.. tony.. the driver.. could do with a little rev up.  City tour of Hanoi was good. saw the sights etc.. an amazing city.  the bike ride was absolutely the best. the guide we had Vu Van Dao was simply the best. he was full of humor and made for an excellent trip, stopping at places to visit with locals, and making sure beer was at the place we stayed :).  i would have absolutely no trouble recommending your company to put together another trip in Indochina.

Dear Ms. Hoa,
I am writing to advise what an excellent tour guide we had to Halong Bay on Monday/Tuesday (his name is Huy-not sure if I spelt this correctly?  or pronounce "Wheel") - he was very friendly and polite with lots of knowledge and did an excellent job of making us feel very comfortable.  He also assisted us on our last day with a recommendation to stay in a mini-hotel for a few hours as we had to wait for 3 hours for our flight which was not enough time to go back into Hanoi - it was a great idea as we could relax and shower before our flight.  Please tell him we say thank you.
I am writing to recommend him as he did not even accept our tip and so I hope he will be rewarded by many years of employment with your company.
Our driver too was excellent - the roads are difficult, but he was a very calm and steady driver and I felt very safe with him.
We were very happy with our Indochina Explore Tour guide and driver.
 
To give you some feedback on the boat (which I know is not run by your company, but I would like to inform you anyway) - we felt that perhaps the staff on the boat did not put in as much effort as they should.  There was rubbish on the decks on both days - empty bottles and cans.  Also the boat was not maintained as well as it should be - there were nails coming up out of the deck and sharp bits of metal.  The boat decks looked like it could be made a bit more tidy and better repaired.  However the bedrooms were clean and tidy.

We are now back home and would like to thank you for organizing our trip so well.  We really had a good time and you had take ngood care in arranging everything for us.
Our guides in all the cities were good.  The food was good and the sights were wonderful.  Of all the hotels my favorites were the Sofitel in Seam Reap and the Palm Garden in Hoi An.
Of all the guides our favourite was the Ky in Hue and Hoi An.  He took particular care in organizing all the vegetarian meal for my uncle nad aunt and also giving a variety.  The others were also good. All in all it was a good trip.
