Cambodia Biking designed this 15-day cycling adventure to highlight the difference cultures of the Cambodian people in different provinces. Included in the tour are Phnom Penh, a Mekong River cruise, a home-stay in Kampong Speu, a visit to the oldest city in Cambodia, Angkor Borei and Phnom Da, trekking to Bokor Hill, relaxing at beach resorts, and on to Siem Reap and Angkor via Battambang Province.

Detail Itinerary
Day 1: Phnom Penh Arrival– City Tour (No cycling)
Upon arrival Phnom Penh airport meets and transfers by local guide from Cambodia Biking to hotel for check in. This afternoon, our tour will be with vehicle as the cycling in the city is not recommended. Visit to the Tuol Sleng Prison Museum and the notorious ‘Killing Fields’ of Choeung Ek, which will give us a deep insight into the painful bloody rule of the Khmer Rouge. We have time for an exploration of Psar Toul Tom Pong, also called the “Russian Market”, where anything and everything is for sales.

Day 2: Mekong Cruise – Royal Palace (Cycling 22km)
Breakfast at hotel and today we will have an amazing cycling to Mekong Islands to visit the daily life and weaving villages and after lunch take the boat cruise back to Phnom Penh and The private quarters of the Royal Palace are now home to the royal family and are therefore very close to the public. At the northern area of the palace grounds is Silver Pagoda, the most sacred shrine in the country. The next stop of our trip is the National Museum, exclusively dedicated to Khmer art and sculpture. The majority of the exhibits are from the Angkor period from 9th to 15th centuries, but some date from as early as the 4th century.

Day 3: Phnom Penh – Kampong Speu (Cycling 45km)
Breakfast at hotel, you will be transfer to Kampong Speu province by our vehicle for 55km and then off the road we will ride our bikes through the rural villages and new road for tourist, till today there is no tour companies send tourist through this unique biking road except Cambodia Biking. There will be a great opportunity for you to observe the local lifer and pictures of buffaloes, cows, rice paddies, daily activities from the locals. After 45km cycling we will be arriving our homestay enjoy lunch in this village and afternoon you are free to do cycling on your own around the village, late afternoon we have table discussion one hour with the head of the village who can give you the information of their culture, and the experience of his bad life during the people regime. In the evening we will have a great party in the village, dancing and music by the landmine victim from the civil war.

Day 4: Kampong Speu – Ta Kep (Cycling 55km)
Breakfast at homestay and then start our cycling through the villages, you will be seen a lot of local people saying goodbye to you in Khmer Language (Lea Heay). Our cycling journey will take 3 hours on the dirt road, lunch at local restaurant and then visit to Phnom Chisor Temple dating back from the 11th century. A 500 step path leads up to the top of the hill from where we can enjoy fabulous views over the surrounding countryside. Continue to Ta Keo town by our vehicle

Day 5: Ta Keo – Phnom Da – Kep (Cycling 65km)
Breakfast at local restaurant and ride our bikes to get short cruise to Angkor Borei town, located just a few kilometer navigation from the Vietnam border. There is a small museum which displays several reproductions of sculptures from the nearby ruins and few artifacts dating as far back as the 4th century. After seeing this pleasant place, we continue our boat trip to visit a pre-Angkorian style temple of Phnom Da and a nearby temple of Asram Maharosei. The steep path over some big rocks makes Asram Maharosei different from other temples in Cambodia. Proceed to kep city

Day 6: Kep – Bokor Trekking (Trekking 30km)
Breakfast at hotel, today we will have a 30km trekking tour to the top of Phnom Bokor Hill, our driver transfer us from Kep to the foot of Bokor Mountain then start trekking up for 3 hours through the jungle, visit the ghost town, waterfall and lunch will be provided on the site. After lunch will trek town from the hill by other road and take the boat cruise through the little stream, viewing the sunset on this traditional boat. Transfer back to kep city

Day 7: Kep – Sihanouk Ville (Cycling 65km)
Breakfast at hotel and we do our cycling through the countryside of Kampong Province visit the salt field, visit one of caves in Phnom Chngock Mountain and continue to visit the pepper plantation. After lunch in Kampot town you will transfer to Sihanouk Ville but on the way we will stop and take a boat cruise along the Mangrove forest in Ream National Park.

Day 8: Sihanouk Ville – Free (Cycling on your own)
Breakfast at hotel, today you will be free on your own. You can just relax on the beaches, swimming at hotel, do massage, and hire local boat to visit some islands, ride your bike along the beaches or visit local markets, pagodas. Our guide and driver are always standby for your services

Day 9: Sihanouk Ville – Kampong Chhang (Cycling 65km)
Breakfast at hotel and transfer to Kampong Chhang, we drive for 200km and then we ride our bikes to visit Udong, the old city before Phnom Penh and Phnom Chet Ta Reurs. Continue the journey by car to Kampong Chhang.

Day 10: Kampong Chhnang – Battambang (Cycling 65km)
Breakfast at local restaurant and we do cycling around this little town to visit the local markets in the morning and continue to Pusat Province, cycling to Kampong Luong for visit the floating Village, after lunch in Pusat down town transfer to Battambang.

Day 11: Battambang countryside (Cycling 45km)
Breakfast at hotel and today it is only the trip highlighted to do cycling along the rural and rice paddy, apart from the scenic countryside, this town has a lively market place and many Angkorian as well as post Angkorian sites, some of which are Wat Ek and enjoy the bamboo train in the late afternoon before come back to hotel in town.

Day 12: Battambang – Siem Reap (Cycling 25km)
Breakfast at hotel and we do our cycling along the Stung Sangke riverside for 15km to get the boat and cruise to Siem Reap through the great lake of Tonle Sap, the journey is very exciting we will visit Wat Cheur Kmao, Preak Toal Village, and Chong Chneas Floating Village. On arrival at Siem Reap boat pier we do another 12km cycling to Siem Reap town.

Day 13: Angkor temples cycling (Cycling 35km)
The Angkor Temples is now very busy with other tourist, so our cycling in the early time will avoid of touristy and special, we start cycling at 0630 before breakfast time to Visit Angkor Wat Temple, and breakfast will box will be provided in the local restaurant in front of temple. After breakfast continue our cycling to West Gate of Angkor Thom, visit Bayon Temple, Terrance of Elephant and proceed through victory gate to visit Ta Nei temple and Jungle temple of Ta Prohm. Lunch will be provide at local restaurant, before back to hotel we visit to Kravan Village where you can see the local making small souvenirs, handicraft and daily activities.

Day 14: Remote temples (Cycling 45km)
Breakfast at hotel and cycling by back road from Siem Reap through the countryside that we can see the traditional houses, orphanages, schools, visit the earliest built temple of Angkor era, Bakhong, Preah Koh, Lolei and enjoy the cooking class with one of the families in village. After lunch continue our cycling to Banteay Srey, Ta Som, and Preah Khan Temples.

Day 15: Siem Reap – Departure (No cycling)
Breakfast at hotel and you will be free on your own for shopping, massage, swimming...... transfer to airport for departure.
